SILICON CITY UNDER stiff SECURITY CONTROL:
214 illegal cases of 1500 liters liquor! 15655790 rupees of illegal cash! 1737000 worth illegal gift items! These are the ceased materials captured by the garden city Bangalore’s police department as the part of providing safe and secure elections held on 5th May 2013. The city is completely controlled by the department and illegal activities are being prohibited simultaneously by raiding on illegal areas. A security meeting was conducted on Friday afternoon at Vidhan Souda as to decide the security control and the recruitment of the police among different constituencies.
The city police Commissioner Raghavendra Auradkar has announce prohibition on the sales of liquor from 3rd May evening 6 o clocks till the midnight of 5th May, the voting day and also on the counting day of 8th May from 6 am to the mid night. Mr. Kamala Panth, the additional commissioner of police has cautioned the police officials to provide with complete security to the poling boots.
17 thousand police forces are recruited for the betterment of tight security in the city. Out of which, 4 thousand are from Para-military forces. 1000 people from civil defense are appointed for controlling the traffic in the city. 40 KSRP platoons and 35 CAR forces are conscripted for assisting the police for an impartial and liberal voting. The probationary IPS officers are also taken along with police including mobile police panel who will be in beat around 15 boots by each group. The polling booths are divided into sensitive, hyper sensitive, vulnerable and normal areas. Among which, the sensitive and hyper sensitive areas are provided with rigid security to avoid forcible and illegal voting. 276 polling booths are identified as pocket or vulnerable, which are regulated and supervised with sensitive cameras, those record the entire issues to supply additional assistance for the department. 1176 booths are recognized as cluster booths and each cluster booth is consisted of an ASI, two PCs and also a CAR force. 2200 polling booths are considered as sensitive areas and more than 6200 as hyper sensitive booths.
ADGP Bipin Gopalkrishna has ordered for the well organization of security during elections. As per his order, each booth is consisted of one police official and each constituency is consisted of 15 mobile groups, 4 inspectors, a subinspector, ASI and PCs. Each vulnerable area is also provided with an ACP to have a strict control over the entire constituency. 7000 civil police officers are deputed both on voting and counting day. Naaka Bandi is also imposed in the entire city. Some sensitive vulnerable areas are well furnished with DCPs too. CAR, army commanders, DIG, is also on toes for ably conducting the elections. The special police officers are appointed for looking after the civil defense force consisted of 3 inspector level officers and ACP level officers are also recruited in each constituency. More than 3000 anti social elements are arrested and taken up with their apology bonds.
Finally, the constituencies are also provided with two KSRP forces and the election officers will be also spontaneously beating through out the constituencies. However, the department is on its foot to face the elections with impartial and strict voting, but the real success of voting will be decided and understood only with the casting of votes by all the voters for choosing an appropriate representative to the accomplishment of democratic system.
